OSARFCC Executive Committee Webinar

Monday, February 15, 2021at 1430hrs Nepal Time, the Organization of South Asian Regional Friendship Countries with China (OSARFCC) held its Executive Committee meeting through zoom. Executive Committee Members from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka joined the zoom conference. Mr. Anoop Bhattarai presided the conference as the incumbent Chairman of OSARFCC.

OSARFFC is an organization of NGOs of South Asia Region who has working relationship with the China People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).

Ms. Farwa Zafar of Pakistan highlighted the importance of CMCA My Story China Online Forum that was held among the youths on February 06th, marking the Chinese Spring Festival 2021with the theme “Cultural Appreciation”. Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka thanked CMCA for inviting youth participants from the respective countries to the Online Forum.

Mr. Anoop Bhattari informed the members that CPAFFC is planning to have the 7th China-South Asian Friendship Organizations’ Forum physically in China in October. Also, that Chengdu is planning to have the Second China-OSARFFC Youth Exchange Week in September. Updates of these events would be communicated in the next zoom conference in March 2021.

Mr. Rasheed informed the launching of the CMCA Website on the Eve of Chinese Spring Festival 2021. All upcoming Events and updates on CMCA Programs and activities are posted on CMCA website www.cmca.org.mv

Enthusiasm of CMCA inviting OSARFCC representatives to CMCA events was candidly expressed; also, the endeavors of CMCA to forge a close working relationship between Shaanxi Han Tang Cultural Creative Institute in Xi’an City and OSARFFC.
