CMCA Students Shine in the "Feeling Tianfu - International Students in Sichuan Visiting Ziyang" Event
Recently, six international students from Ya’an Vocational and Technical College, including several students affiliated with the Chinese-Maldivian Cultural Association (CMCA), actively participated in the "Feeling Tianfu - International Students in Sichuan Visiting Ziyang" activity. This event, co-organized by the Sichuan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Provincial Department of Education, and the Ziyang Municipal People's Government, aimed to foster cultural exchange and showcase the rich heritage and rural revitalization efforts of Sichuan province.
The event brought together more than 40 international students and foreign teachers from 19 countries, representing six universities across Sichuan, including Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu University of Technology, Sichuan Normal University, Xihua University, Chengdu University, and Ya’an Vocational and Technical College. Notably, Ya’an Vocational and Technical College was the only higher vocational institution participating, with CMCA students playing a prominent role in representing their cultural and academic background.
The itinerary included visits to the Anyue Baosen Lemon Tourist Area, Anyue Yuanjue Cave, Anxin Sports Anta Shoes (Anyue) Production Base, Chen Yi's Hometown, China Dental Valley, Ziyang International Digital Nomad Community, and Yanjiang Yanjiaba Rural Innovation School. These visits allowed the students to witness the integration of agriculture and tourism in rural revitalization, explore the deep cultural heritage of Bashu historical relics, and experience the transformative development of Sichuan’s industrial clusters. The itinerary also offered an opportunity to reflect on the contributions of Sichuan’s revolutionary martyrs.
Speaking about the event, Wei Zihan, a CMCA student from the Maldives, shared, “This event gave us a profound understanding of Sichuan’s history, culture, and modern achievements. It was inspiring to connect with peers from around the world while experiencing the hospitality and openness of Sichuan. I look forward to sharing these invaluable experiences with others to promote a deeper appreciation of Sichuan and China.”
The "Feeling Tianfu - International Students in Sichuan Visiting Ziyang" activity not only broadened the horizons of CMCA students but also deepened their understanding of Sichuan's cultural, economic, and social advancements. Ya’an Vocational and Technical College is committed to using international platforms like this to amplify the role of CMCA students in bridging cultures, spreading the richness of Chinese traditions, and fostering global connections.
