School Students from Addu, Hanimaadhoo, and Dhuvaafaru Visit Beijing for Cultural Exchange
A group of 15 school students from Addu, Hanimaadhoo, and Dhuvaafaru recently visited Beijing for a cultural exchange program from December 20th to December 26th, 2016. The program was organized by the Center for Maldives-China Cultural and Arts (CMCA), and aimed to promote cultural exchange and understanding between the Maldives and China.
During their stay in Beijing, the students visited several popular tourist attractions, including the Great Wall, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Beijing Muslim Street, and Tenman Square. They also had the opportunity to visit the Old City Museum and attend an acrobat show. One of the highlights of the trip was when the students tried hotpot, a famous Chinese cuisine known for its spicy broth and various ingredients.
The cultural exchange program was a great success, with the students having the opportunity to learn about Chinese culture and history firsthand. They were also able to make new friends with Chinese students who participated in the program.
"We had a great time in Beijing, and we learned so much about Chinese culture," said one of the students from Addu. "We were amazed by the Great Wall and enjoyed trying new foods like hotpot. It was also great to make new friends and learn about their culture too."
The program was a joint effort between the CMCA and the Beijing International Youth Exchange Center. It was part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the cultural ties between the Maldives and China, and to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.
"We are pleased to have organized this cultural exchange program, which provided an opportunity for our students to learn about Chinese culture and history," said a representative from the CMCA. "We hope that this program will help to strengthen the cultural ties between our two countries and promote greater understanding and cooperation in the future."
Overall, the cultural exchange program was a great success and provided an enriching experience for the students involved. It is hoped that such programs will continue in the future, providing opportunities for students from both countries to learn from and about each other.
